Masses for Ascension

Assumption Grotto has, on most weekdays, two daily Masses: 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; and Saturdays at 7:30 in the morning. The exception in recent years is June and July when the evening Masses are suspended because we are often down to one priest.

These daily Masses are all scheduled extraordinary form (“Tridentine”) Masses, with very rare exceptions. This means that, in the 1962 calendar each year, there are two opportunities – one in the morning, the other in the evening – to observe Ascension on Thursday. In the new calendar it is transferred to Sunday.

Today, those wanting a Mass for Ascension Thursday can go this morning or tonight.
